With an average instructional cost of $5000 per child per year, your donation enables these aspiring artists to receive personalized instruction, mentorship, and resources to help them thrive.

About the recipients
Recipients of The Duke Ellington Scholarship Fund at FAME Center are asked to first and foremost be the student they want to be as they devote time and energy to their arts education. In order to maintain their scholarship we ask them to additionally:

Commit to Excellence: Demonstrate a strong commitment to your artistic growth and development. Attend all scheduled private lessons and recitals with diligence and enthusiasm.

Be Academic Responsibility: Maintain satisfactory academic standing in your school or educational program. Prioritize your studies while pursuing your artistic endeavors.

Engage in the Community: Dedicate a minimum 2 of volunteer hours per quarter at FAME Center to support community arts initiatives, events, and outreach programs.

Provide Communication and Feedback: Communicate openly and respectfully with your instructors, mentors, and fellow students. Seek feedback and guidance to support your artistic growth and development.

Understand with Gratitude and Reflection: Express gratitude for the opportunities provided through The Duke Ellington Scholarship Fund. Reflect on your journey, celebrate your achievements, set goals for your future artistic endeavors, and thank those who have invested in your artistic journey.
